MOYA INDONESIA has strengthened its commitment to community development by sponsoring the construction of the 205th suspension bridge under Vertical Rescue Indonesia’s 1,000 Suspension Bridges project. Named the Leuwi Batu Beulah Suspension Bridge, the 80-meter-long structure connects the villages of Pasirlangu, with a population of 6,909, and Tegal Gede, with a population of 6,278, in Garut, West Java.
The bridge spans a river that has long been a barrier to safe travel, especially during the rainy season when strong currents and high water levels pose significant risks.
By providing a safe and reliable crossing, the bridge promotes socio-economic growth, and ensures better access to schools, markets, and health services.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, was a lively and emotional event attended by representatives from Moya Indonesia, VRI, the local military unit, TNI Siliwangi, and the heads of both villages.
Representatives from Moya also reaffirmed their dedication to improving lives and driving sustainable development through impactful CSR initiatives.
