Friday, February 14, 2025 East Bandung Water together with Perumda Tirta Raharja held a Ground Breaking for the development project of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in the eastern part of Bandung Regency.
The ground breaking was attended by the Regent of Bandung Dadang Supriyatna and the Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusuma Astuti. The Cikoneng SPAM project is targeted to be able to provide clean water up to 1,100 liters per second.
With this capacity, this SPAM will later be distributed to 8 sub-districts in the eastern part of Bandung Regency, including Ciparay, Baleendah, Dayeuhkolot, Majalaya, Cikancung, Solokanjeruk, Rancaekek and Cicalengka Districts.
The number of house connections that have been provided with SPAM services is currently 118,500 SR. With the construction of this SPAM, Perumda Bandung Regency can obtain an additional 45,000 SR so that the service coverage will be 163,500 SR.
The development of SPAM aims to improve the welfare of the community by providing access to affordable clean water, improving health and encouraging economic growth.
