Todung Mulya Lubis
CHAIRMAN, NON-EXECUTIVE, AND INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Todung Mulya Lubis, born on 4 July 1949, in Muara Botung, North Sumatra, is a distinguished Indonesian lawyer and human rights advocate. He earned his law degree from the University of Indonesia in 1974 and pursued further studies, obtaining LL.M degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1978 and Harvard University in 1987. In 1990, he achieved a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) from Berkeley.

Throughout his career, Todung has been a prominent figure in both legal practice and academia, serving as a senior adjunct faculty member at the Universitas Indonesia since 1990. Todung has built a reputation as one of Indonesia’s most respected legal professionals. His extensive career includes serving as a lawyer, arbitrator, and advisor for multinational corporations and government institutions, equipping him with the expertise to oversee legal and ethical matters in corporate governance. His expertise has been recognized internationally; Chambers Global described him as one of the "most highly effective advocates in Indonesia" and "an invaluable lobbyist with an extraordinary profile and enormous clout." Beyond his legal expertise, Todung is known for his dedication to public service and advocacy for sustainable development.

In addition to his legal accomplishments, Todung served as the Ambassador of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Iceland from 2018 to 2023, further cementing his international standing. His leadership and contributions to the field have been recognized globally. In 1999, he was named a “Star of Asia” by Business Week, highlighting his impact on both the legal and business communities. His academic and professional achievements have also been acknowledged, with Todung receiving an Honorary Doctorate from Murdoch University in 2014, Honorary Professor from Melbourne Law School in 2014, and the prestigious Elise and Walter Haas Award from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2017.

Mr. Syahrial is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company since 29 March 2016. He is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Group's strategies and business plans. Mr. Syahrial has over 25 to 30 years of experience in the Indonesian private and government sectors. He is currently the president director of PT Tamaris Hidro, the director of the Tamaris group of companies, and the president commissioner of PT GMT Kapital Asia. From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Syahrial was the president director of PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset (Persero), a state-owned asset management company, and from 2002 to 2004, he was the deputy chairman of Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency.

During the course of his career, Mr. Syahrial had been appointed as the commissioner of several banks, namely PT Bank Mandiri Tbk., PT Bank Niaga Tbk. and PT Bank Permata Tbk., and head of research for PT Pentasena Securities and IBJ Bank Indonesia. Mr. Syahrial graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1988 from the Florida Atlantic University (USA) and received his Master of Business Administration from the Golden Gate University (USA) in 1989.

Mr. Dinata has been the Managing Director of the Company since 29 March 2016, and the Chief Executive Officer of PT Moya Indonesia since 2015. He is responsible for overseeing the Group’s day-to-day operations as well as planning and executing the Group’s strategic decisions. He has 30 years of experience in the forestry, renewable energy and financial industry in areas including fund management, banking, investment banking, multi-finance, treasury and financial advisory.

Mr. Dinata has served as a director and commissioner for numerous companies since 1998. He is currently the President Director of PT GMT Kapital Asia and Commissioner of PT Tamaris Hidro. Mr. Dinata graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance in 1990 from the University of Washington and completed his Master of Business Administration in 1992 from Santa Clara University.

Mr. Anwar has served as the Chief Financial Officer of PT Moya Indonesia since April 2015 and was subsequently appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company in October 2016. He is responsible for managing the Group's financial, investor relationship, strategic planning and business development.

Mr. Anwar has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry with areas including corporate finance, investment banking and financial advisory. Mr. Anwar graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Bandung Institute of Technology.

Mr. Low is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is a Senior Partner of Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP, which he joined in 1986, and has been with the same firm his entire career. He has many years of legal experience representing multinational corporations, financial institutions and listed companies in a wide array of commercial and corporate matters regionally, including dispute resolutions. He is recognised in many legal publications as a leading lawyer in Singapore. He is also an independent director of two companies listed on the Singapore Exchange.

Mr. Low graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Hwang is currently the managing partner of McDermott Will & Emery Singapore LLP. Prior to joining McDermott Will & Emery, he was the managing partner of Squire Patton Boggs Singapore LLP. Prior to that, he managed the Singapore office of Byran Cave Singapore LLP. He established the Singapore office for all three of these US-headquartered, international law firms. Before this, he was also a partner with Freehills, an Australian law firm, and held various in-house counsel and law firm positions during the early stages of his career.

Mr. Hwang has more than three decades of international experience as an energy, infrastructure and resources lawyer. He has been involved in major transactions and projects in North and South Asia, Africa, the Middle-East, Europe, the United States and Australia. He advises governments, sponsors, contractors, operators, funders and lenders on all aspects of the development and acquisition of energy, infrastructure and resources projects. In Singapore, he is particularly known for his market-leading work in public-private partnership projects. Mr. Hwang is both Singapore and United Kingdom qualified. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Simon A. Melhem is the Chief Executive Officer of Hyrec Water and Minerals, a leading high-recovery desalination company specializing in zero liquid discharge desalination and brine mining. He has over 35 years of experience developing international infrastructure projects, and led many mergers and acquisition transactions. Mr. Melhem was re-designated from Executive Director to Non-Executive Director of the Company on 7 March 2019.

Previously, Mr. Melhem was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Dynowatt, LP, a retail electric utility provider he established in Texas. He also held various senior business development roles at El Paso Energy International, working in Houston, London, and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Melhem holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California, as well as a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, USA.

Mr. Kumar is the Co-Founder and Partner of Gateway Partners, an investment firm focused on growth capital and strategic opportunities across markets in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Kumar has over 30 years of experience in Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance in South and Southeast Asia with a strong network of relationships in the region. Prior to co-founding Gateway Partners in 2014, Mr. Kumar held leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank and Morgan Stanley including Global Head of Capital Markets and Co-Head of the Wholesale Bank for Southeast Asia and Australia (SCB), and Head of M&A and Restructuring for Southeast Asia (MS).

He is a non-executive director of Healthway Medical Corporation (Singapore), Moya Holdings Asia Limited (Singapore), TVS Supply Chain Solutions (India), Land Registration System Inc (Philippines), Mahogany Logistics Services Private Limited (India), Medall Healthcare Pvt Ltd (India), Maison Group Corporation (Vietnam), UNOAsia Pte. Ltd. (Philippines) and is a member of the Board of Commissioners of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (Indonesia) and PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk (Indonesia). Anand is also an Independent Director of Tube Investments of India Ltd (India) and Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd (India).

He has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and sits on the Asia Alumni Board of Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
